Hello! My name is Josh.

I’m an English teacher from Los Angeles, California, and I hold a Master’s degree in TESOL.
I lived in Japan for 7 years, so I understand the challenges Japanese learners face when studying English.

I began teaching English in 2014, and I truly enjoy helping students gain confidence while speaking naturally.

Lesson Style

I create a calm, friendly, and safe learning environment, especially for students who feel shy or nervous about speaking.

In my lessons:

  • You will speak as much as possible

  • I will give clear, supportive feedback

  • Lessons are personalized to your goals and level

As a language learner myself, I know that speaking regularly is the key to improvement.

I can speak conversational Japanese, Spanish, and French, so I understand what it’s like to learn a second language.
