Hi, my name is Mohamed Helmy :)
I’m an English teacher, and I’ve been teaching English as a second language for over 12 years. I also have 30,000+ hours of direct teaching experience, both online and in-person.
I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds and age groups—busy professionals, university students, exam-focused learners, people preparing to relocate abroad, and also learners who simply want to practice English for fun (or keep it from getting rusty). Over the years, I’ve also worked with hundreds of Japanese learners, so I understand many of the common challenges and goals.
In my lessons, I’m friendly, patient, and practical. I don’t do “one lesson fits everyone.” At the beginning, I’ll ask you a few simple questions about your goal, your level, and what feels difficult right now—then I’ll shape the lessons around your needs, so your time goes to the things that matter most.
We’ll spend a lot of time actually using English (speaking, responding, roleplays, real situations). I’ll correct you in a supportive way—no pressure, no embarrassment—and help you understand why something sounds better, so you can use it naturally again.
About my qualifications (in a simple way): I’m CELTA-certified with Pass A (a rare top-level result, only awarded to the top 5% of all the Cambridge CELTA graduates globally), and I also have an MBA—so I’m comfortable supporting both everyday learners and people who need professional-level communication. I’ve created full learning programs (including multi-level curricula), and I’ve worked in structured training environments where lessons are evaluated for quality—so you can expect classes that are friendly, but also well-organized and focused.
