Welcome to my Cafetalk page! My name is Wendy, and I am the co-author of 'The Seed and the Cracked Pot,' a children's book inspired by my wish to encourage young ones to spend more time outdoors.
I am a highly experienced online English teacher with a 150-hour TEFL/TESOL certification. Since early 2017, I have been exclusively teaching EFL/ESL online and I absolutely love it! Teaching online allows me to reach students of all ages and ability levels from around the world, which is incredibly rewarding.
One of the things I enjoy most about teaching online is the personalised one-on-one approach. It enables me to understand each student's individual needs and tailor lessons specifically to them. This personalised approach ensures that students can improve at their own pace and achieve their language goals.
I take pride in teaching a diverse range of students with varying needs and goals. Whether I am teaching a 6-year-old, an IELTS student, or a retiree who wants to learn English for travel purposes, I am always excited to meet new students and help them on their English language journey.
As a responsible teacher, I hold a "blue card," which is a government-issued "Working with children" card from Queensland, Australia. This provides parents and students with peace of mind knowing that I have undergone the necessary background checks.
