Let me introduce myself! My name is Rebecca Chambliss, I am from the United States and am currently living in Mexico City.
I have a bachelor’s degree in education and a TESOL certification. I have many years of experience working at international schools in countries such as Thailand, Japan and Mexico. I have worked with children of all ages as well as adults. Traveling and teaching is my passion!
During the pandemic I started teaching online. I have taught adults 1 on 1 classes tailor made to their needs. I worked on designing lesson plans specifically for their language level ability and specific focus, whether it be business scenarios, reading and discussion to improve their grammar or conversation skills. My students came from many different countries and had careers such as psychiatrists, business executives and actors.
I am a native English speaker and speak Spanish fluently and intermediate Thai. I started learning both languages as an adult and this helps me understand how it feels to be a student of a second language.
My teaching style is upbeat and positive, I work hard to make sure my students reach their goals!
