Marin.S Tutor Profile

Drawing on my own experience studying abroad in Europe and as a professional dancer, I’ll provide patient, step-by-step support so that everyone from beginners to those returning to dance after a hiatus, and from children to adults, can start with confidence!

“I’d like to try ballet for the first time as an adult,” or “I used to dance, but I’d like to start again.” My lessons are designed to support you in taking that first step. I’ll cover everything carefully, one step at a time, from proper posture and body movements to expressiveness. Rather than strict lessons, I prioritize helping you enjoy the process while feeling your progress.

✔︎ I teach slowly and carefully
✔︎ Beginners and those returning to dance after a break are more than welcome to join
✔︎ For everyone from children to adults
✔︎ I’d love to share stories about studying abroad and my life as a dancer
✔︎ Also ideal for those who want to revisit the basics or refine their body movements

I strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where even new students can feel at ease.
Also, if you have any requests for new lesson topics or would like advice on choosing a lesson, please feel free to message me. I’d be more than happy to help! ☺︎
For those who want to know more about me (Biography)

I grew up in the countryside of Kagoshima and started ballet at age 6, inspired by my older sister who was a ballerina. When I entered high school, I decided that I wanted to become a professional dancer, and at age 16, I received a scholarship to the Mannheim Ballet Academy in Germany and was admitted early. Both before and during my time abroad, I continued to study the Vaganova method as my foundational technique, and in Germany, I also explored a wide range of genres, including contemporary, modern, character, and Spanish dances.
After graduating, I joined the Wroclaw Opera in Poland as a professional ballet dancer and have performed in a variety of productions, ranging from classical to contemporary works.

After marrying my partner, whom I met in Poland, I lived in his hometown in India for two years, where I worked to share the joy of ballet with local children.
I also offer ballet lessons in English, drawing on my experiences in India. ☺︎

Since returning to Japan, I’ve been teaching at a ballet studio in Tokyo, working with students of all ages, from young children to adults.

My beloved cat, TOTORO-chan, often makes an appearance during lessons (=^•ω•^=)✌︎

I look forward to meeting all of you.♪
