Nice to meet you! I’m Intini Elia from Italy.
  • I’ve been living in Kyoto since 2019.
  • I’m married to a Japanese person.
  • I’ve earned the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 (Advanced Level) certification, and I currently teach Italian to Japanese speakers.
If there’s anything you don’t understand, I can explain it carefully in Japanese. ♬

I strive to provide lessons that are gentle, fun, and easy to understand, tailored to each individual, so that even beginners can learn with confidence.
Since enjoying the learning process is the best way to stay motivated, I always treat my students with the utmost care.♬
Having learned Japanese myself, I fully understand that feeling of “This part is so hard!” when studying a new language.
Why don’t we study Italian together?♬


I am able to offer more slots for one-time lessons rather than for regularly scheduled lessons, so feel free to check them out.♬

In my lessons, I primarily use materials I’ve created myself, and I place a strong emphasis on helping students “understand” and to “actually speak” Italian.^^
To make things easier to understand for beginners, I break down grammar one point at a time and incorporate example sentences and practice exercises as we go.

If you have a specific request, such as “I’d like to study using this textbook!” I can conduct my lessons using those materials as long as both you and I have the same copy.♬

“I want to practice conversation while using a textbook”
“I’d like detailed explanations in Japanese for parts I don’t understand”
I’ll tailor my lessons to each learner’s individual goals, level, and interests.♬
“Even though this is an Italian lesson, I can ask questions in Japanese?”

If there’s anything you don’t understand, please don’t hesitate to ask, even if it is in Japanese.

I strive to explain things in a way that Japanese speakers can easily understand, drawing not only on my intuition as a native Italian speaker but also on my own experience learning Japanese.
Let’s go beyond just saying, “This is how it is said in Italian,”
and rather, explore together:
“Why is it said this way?”
“How does it differ from similar expressions?”
“In what situations is it used?” ♬

I’ll provide lessons where you can enjoy learning Italian at your own pace.
I look forward to seeing your progress, experiencing the joy of learning, and seeing many smiles! ♬

【About Tutor Intini】

I’m currently 29 years old. I moved to Japan seven years ago (in 2019, when I was 22) and have been living in Kyoto ever since.

While working as a full-time employee at a Japanese company, I studied Japanese almost entirely on my own and passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 in 2023.

I’m currently dedicated to teaching Italian to Japanese speakers in an easy-to-understand way. ^^
I also conduct lessons using teaching materials I’ve created myself, tailored to your level and goals.♬
