"Casual Conversation in Japanese" lesson
Using my experience working at call centers, I created lessons that feels like a phone call without using the camera. Even if you’re a first-timer, don’t fret! I am good at having a cheerful and calm conversation.
I also offer casual conversation lesson with the camera on, where we can chat while being able to see each other’s facial expressions.
(My online standby lessons are only available for lesson without the camera)
“Japanese Pronunciation” and “Self-Introductions in Japanese” lessons
You are learning Japanese, but you feel that your pronunciation is somehow different from that of native speakers. I can help you if you are feeling like this! In our lesson, I’ll write down in red for the sounds that I find you are likely to make mistakes in.
“Japanese Pronunciation” => You can check how to pronounce the accents in the text that you usually read aloud for practice. “Self-introduction in Japanese” => Correcting your self-introductions, compositions, and essays are all included in this lesson.

◎ About the Tutor
・I teach with a standard Tokyo-accent.
I was born in Tokyo and grew up in Saitama, but went to high school, college, and have worked in Tokyo all my life. I graduated from Tokyo Women’s University with a degree in English and American Literature.
I am a certified Japanese language tutor.
・I am a certified Japanese language teacher.
I taught Japanese conversation at a Japanese language school for two years.
・I have trained at a news caster school in Tokyo for six months.
・I have worked in the service industry, such as at travel agencies, hotels, and call centers. I can teach you how to speak gently and how to be attentive in a Japan-sense.
・During the lesson, I will speak mainly in Japanese, but I can speak some English and Spanish if you need assistance.
・I am a gentle tutor, but I will always give you important advice and corrections.

◎ What made me become an online Japanese language tutor?
I went to a Japanese language tutor training school because I wanted a job that would allow me to work overseas.
When I went to Cebu Island in the Philippines to study for a short time, I took one-on-one English conversation lessons with a teacher.
I was shocked at how the teacher prepared the lesson according to what each student wanted to learn. I wanted to try teaching Japanese one-on-one someday, which led me to become an online Japanese language tutor.
◎ Things I enjoy doing on my days off
Traveling within Japan and abroad. Taking pictures of scenery and cats. I’m a big cat lover. I am also a former tour operator for a travel agency. You are welcome to share your travel stories with me.
