Hi! My name is Alex, I was born in America and lived in Japan from 2012 to 2024. My first 3 years in Japan I lived in Nishimera Village in Miyazaki prefecture, and after that I spent the rest of my time in Tokyo. In Miyazaki I taught English in kindergarten, elementary school, and junior high school. In Tokyo I became a professional actor and voice-actor and continued to teach English conversation on the side in my open time. Because I am fluent in Japanese, I specialize in teaching English to Japanese students and can explain ideas and concepts in Japanese to help them improve their English understanding when necessary.
I currently live in Sydney, Australia with my Japanese wife and I continue to teach my private students in Japan online. I really enjoy teaching English conversation and cherish the connections and friendships that I've made by doing it!
I've been teaching English since 2012.
2012-2015: Taught English in Japanese schools in Miyazaki
2015-2024: Taught English conversation in Tokyo
I love teaching while having interesting conversations! I can speak Japanese fluently, which means that I can effectively teach all levels of English. If your current English level is not very high right now, it's ok because you can speak to me in Japanese if you get stuck!

こんにちは！アレックスです。アメリカで生まれ、2012年から2024年まで日本に住んでいました。最初の3年間は宮崎県の西米良村に住み、その後は東京で過ごしました。宮崎では幼稚園、小学校、中学校で英語を教え、東京ではプロの俳優や声優になり、空いている時間に英会話を教え続けました。日本語が流暢なので、日本の学生に英語を教えることを専門としており、必要に応じて日本語でアイデアや概念を説明して、彼らの英語理解を助けることができます。
現在はオーストラリアのシドニーに日本人の妻と住んでおり、日本のプライベート生徒にオンラインで教え続けています。英会話を教えるのが本当に楽しく、これまで築いてきたつながりや友情を大切にしています！

2015-2024: 東京で英会話を教えました。
