Hello everyone!

I am a Swedish guy living in Abashiri with my Japanese wife and our son. I work here giving private lessons and doing some translation for the tourist office. Before moving to Japan I taught English, German and French at high school for some years.

I really enjoy learning and teaching languages. I am a calm and patient teacher and pretty easy-going as a person, so you as a student don't need to be nervous or worry about getting things wrong - it's often through mistakes that we learn the most!

Having worked a lot with teenagers with a lot of different learning styles and levels of motivation, I am used to adapting to the students I teach and finding out where they're coming from and where they want to go. I find teaching adults and younger kids very refreshing and I also learn a lot!

I love reading and watching movies. I also enjoy spending time in nature hiking or on my bike cycling through the beautiful landscape of Hokkaido. I have traveled to close to 40 countries and am always happy to swap travel stories.
