【Self Introduction】

Nice to meet you! Thank you for viewing my profile page.
My name is Sona.
I am Korean, and was born and raised in Japan. Japanese is my native language, and I studied Korean on my own as a second language.

My major in university was English studies, and for my second foreign language, I studied Chinese.

I enjoy learning languages.
I believe this is because learning a new language helps me continuously broaden my view of this world.

With the recent advancements in AI and machines making the world more convenient, some people might think that learning a language is “a waste of time” or “inefficient.”

However, I believe there is always a “sense of refreshment” and a “new world” “sense of refreshment” and a “new world” in understanding and interpreting a foreign language that you have learned “by yourself” and being able to understand it “directly.”
I think this is a sensation that only those who have learned a language can truly experience.
 
I would be delighted if I could provide an experience where students can enjoy acquiring a new language through various discoveries, incorporating my own real-life experiences.

- Online and offline Korean language tutor for Japanese students for about 3 years
- Japanese language tutor for Korean students for about 2 years

【Background】
- Achieved level 6 in TOPIK (while I was in university)
- Worked as an interpreter and translator for K-POP idols and with Korean entertainment agencies for 5 years
