Hello, nice to meet you.
I’m tutor Dongwoon :)
I was born and raised in South Korea.
I love traveling and have been interested in philosophy and religion since I was young.
My hobbies are listening to music and reading books.
I aim to live a minimalist lifestyle, and enjoy meditation in my daily life.
 
After completing my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in South Korea, I went to China and lived there for ten years.
During that time, I spent time with ethnic minorities and experiencing diverse cultures and experiences.
While pursuing my second master’s and doctoral degree in China, I researched philosophy and ethnic religions.
Unfortunately, I did not graduate with both degrees in China,
but I cherish the precious memories of meaningful discussions with professors and students both on campus and in the lecture halls.
 
I currently live in Ladakh, India.
Here, I teach meditation, yoga, Korean language, and Korean culture.
I hold a Korean language teaching certification.
 
All my lessons are conducted entirely in Korean. It might feel challenging at first, but I believe learning through language isn’t just about the words themselves. It’s about feeling and connecting with the nuances, gestures, pronunciation, intonation, and even the culture and customs. That’s why I conduct my lessons entirely in Korean.
 
Whether you’re a beginner or feel shy, there’s no need to worry. Let’s take it slow, and learn steadily together.
 
I’m also a meditation and yoga expert.
Why not set aside some time to care for both your body and mind,
with a 1-minute meditation practice or a 10-minute yoga stretching lesson in Korean.
