How do you feel about speaking English on the phone?
 
Recently, more and more Japanese companies are doing business with foreign countries. This means there’s a greater chance you’ll receive calls from people abroad.
 
This lesson is designed for those who want to practice making and receiving phone calls smoothly in English.
 
It covers phrases for both making and receiving calls.
 
 
 In this lesson, you’ll practice:
- Greetings
- Asking to be transferred to the person you want to speak with
- Telling the caller that the person is unavailable
- Asking to leave a message
- Taking a message
- Asking for contact information
- Ending the call
 
 
 
Before the lesson, I’ll share a worksheet with useful phrases and some exercises. Please review the phrases in advance and do the exercises.
During the lesson, we’ll do role-plays to practice the phrases.
