“My Super Animal” is a 40-minute online English lesson for children aged 7–12. Students learn animal names, colors, and simple action verbs, using the sentence pattern “It is… / It can….”
We start with the Animal Action Game, where I appear on camera giving fun commands like “Jump like a frog!” or “Fly like a bird!” to get everyone moving. Next, I use shared slides to teach animals, colors, and actions. Students repeat after me, act out verbs, and answer quickly using the chat or microphone.
In a guessing game, I describe an animal (“It is yellow. It can fly.”) and students guess. Then they take turns giving clues themselves. For the main task, students use paper and colors to invent their own “super animal,” write 2–3 sentences about it, and share by holding it up to the camera or posting a photo in the chat.
We end with a fast review using on-screen flashcards and praise each student’s creativity. The mix of movement, visuals, chat interaction, and drawing keeps the lesson active, personal, and fun—even through a screen.
