Slide 2: Welcome & Warm-Up

I will warmly introduce myself and welcome you to the class.

You will see a slide with a variety of pictures. Take 1 minute to observe and think about what you see.

After that, I’ll invite you to share your thoughts
Slides 3/4/5: Vocabulary Introduction
-
Each slide will show a picture and the definition of a word.
-
You will have 30 seconds to read the slide and think about the answer.
-
I will ask you to share your thoughts, and together, we’ll explore the Meaning, Form, and Pronunciation (MFP) of the word.
-
We will practice saying the word together through drilling to help you with pronunciation and fluency.
Slides 6/7/8: Gist Reading
-
You’ll see a gist question on the slide. and you’ll have 4 minutes to read it carefully.

After reading, you can share your answers explain your reasoning.
Slides 9/10: Detailed Reading
-
You’ll read the text again, focusing on details, and make notes of your answers.

In group lessons, you’ll peer-check your answers with a partner in breakout rooms (BORs). In one-to-one lessons you will give your answer to me and explain your reasoning.
Slide 11: Discussion Task

I will show you a discussion task and ask Instruction Checking Questions (ICQs) to ensure you understand the task clearly.

You’ll then discuss the topic with your peers in BORs ( for group lessons) while I monitor your discussions with my camera off.
Feedback
-
After the discussion, I will provide feedback on the language you used, highlighting good examples and offering corrections where needed.
