Description
Do you have a collection of photographs you like, but aren't sure how they could become a project?
In this personalised one-to-one session, we'll explore how individual photographs can develop into a more coherent photographic series.
We'll look at your images together and discuss visual connections, themes, repetition, variation, editing and sequencing. Rather than simply choosing the “best” photographs, we'll think about what interests you in the work and what direction it could take.
This lesson is suitable for photographers who already have a collection of images, as well as those with an initial idea they would like to develop.
You’re welcome to work with a phone, digital camera or film camera. The focus is on your ideas and images rather than technical equipment.
Before the lesson
Please prepare 10–20 photographs that you would like to discuss. They can come from an existing project or simply be images that you feel are connected in some way.
After the lesson
I'll suggest a practical exercise or direction for developing the work further.
