2025 HOLIDAY SEASON - Christmas Variety Lesson
 
You will choose one of the three options for this lesson.  If you do not choose an option, I will choose one for you.  The options are:
 
 
1. Read a Christmas-Themed short Story. I will send you a file with the story.  We will read it aloud during the lesson.  We will work on pronunciation during this lesson.    We will also discuss the story. It might take 2 lessons to finish some of the stories.
You may choose from the following stories:
 
* A. The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle (Sherlock Holmes) by Arthur Conan Doyle (Mystery - ADVANCED)
* B. The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry (Romantic Irony - Intermediate)
* C. The Cop and the Anthem by O. Henry (Humorous Twist - Upper Intermediate)
* D. The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde (Classic Fable - Intermediate)
* E. Papa Panov's Special Christmas by Leo Tolstoy (Heartwarming - Intermediate)
* F.  A Christmas Inspiration by L.M Montgomery (Friendship - Upper Intermediate)
* G.  A Letter from Santa Claus by Mark Twain (Witty & Fun- Upper Intermediate)
* H.  Rudolph - That Amazing Reindeer (Easier)
 
2. Christmas Themed TED-ED lesson focusing on Christmas traditions around the world. (Intermediate and Advanced Students) This lesson will consist of a video, quiz, listening, and discussion.  This lesson features listening, speaking, vocabulary and reading.  
 
There 12 different talks for this lesson. Please choose ONLY 1.

3. Christmas-Themed Picture Description focusing on pictures with different Christmas Traditions.  For this choice, you will have 4 to 5 pictures to describe.  I will send you the presentation a few minutes before the lesson.
