  • Play the selected audio or video clip in French, making sure it's appropriate for the B1-B2 level.
  • Afterward, ask students to provide a brief summary of what they understood from the clip. This can be done individually or in pairs.

Discussion and Vocabulary

  • Use the whiteboard to write down any new vocabulary or phrases encountered in the clip.
  • Engage students in a discussion related to the clip's topic. Encourage them to express their opinions, thoughts, and feelings.
  • Provide more complex sentence structures for them to use in their responses.

Pair Conversation

  • Divide students into pairs and give them a specific scenario or topic for discussion related to the clip or the lesson's theme.
  • Encourage them to use the new vocabulary and more complex sentence structures in their conversation.

Feedback and Discussion

  • Invite a couple of pairs to share what they discussed during the pair conversation.
  • Discuss their use of vocabulary and sentence structures.

Conclusion

  • Summarize the main points of the lesson, emphasizing the importance of both listening comprehension and conversation skills in advancing to higher levels in French.
