This class covers reading and vocabularies. We will work on pronunciation, intonation, word stress and pace to sound natural. We will also cover understanding of phrases and vocab.

You will be sent a TED talk transcript when you apply for this class. You may choose to take this class in either of the following ways:
1)READ ALOUD and UNDERSTAND VOCABULARIES AS WE READ THE TRANSCRIPT
During class, we will:
Most students prefer the first option. If you prefer the 2nd , please let me know.
With repeated reading classes of this type, you will find yourself naturally improving.
Sometimes it can be hard to tackle long sentences on your own as a student. Learning them with a teacher can be beneficial.
1)READ ALOUD and UNDERSTAND VOCABULARIES AS WE READ THE TRANSCRIPT
During class, we will:
- practice reading aloud
- work on your pronunciation and fluency ; word stress and intonation and gradually build your pace of speech towards natural sounding fluency
- review the meaning of phrases or expressions that are hard to understand and
- check your understanding of vocabulary and the paragraphs in the transcript
OR
2) READ OR LISTEN TO THE TED TALK BEFORE CLASS AND DISCUSS OR CHECK YOUR UNDERSTANDING DURING CLASS
