Currently, I have an IELTS 8 (Academic). I can help you improve all four skills :)

This is an overview of all the techniques I use for IELTS.

My teaching style for IELTS:

- Within 55 minutes, I can only help you with a maximum of 2 skills so as to ensure that you have enough time to practice within class. Please let me know what you'd like to focus on before the lesson so I can customise the content for you.

- I only teach adults (above 18). If you are looking for a teacher for your teenage child, I recommend a face-to-face teacher, because from my experience, teenagers can be easily distracted during online lessons.
- It’s very important to spend time practicing the techniques I teach, so please book a lesson only if your exam date is at least 4 weeks later.
- I only use official Cambridge or trusted IELTS materials, or materials that I've created according to IELTS standards. I avoid using free random online materials as a lot of them are not appropriate.

- Please take your own notes during class, because the writing process will help you to learn much better. Exam preparation requires discipline. For your own benefit, I will only send you some of the notes made during the lesson.

What happens during the class:
- I usually don’t give homework. Instead, during class, I will give you practices and you’ll have to complete them within a time limit, then I will share feedback.

- I can explain using Chinese or simple Japanese if you need to, but let's try to use 100% English so that you can maximise your learning.

- I'm currently learning Japanese, so I know the struggles of learning a new language. You can stop me anytime to ask questions, or ask me to repeat something - I don't mind at all :)

Regarding marking and feedback:
- If you want more practice after the lesson, I can give you more exercises. Please send your work to me before the next lesson so that I have time to check.
