TOPIC: MY COLOURS AND TOYS!
TARGET AGE: 5-7 YEARS OLD, GREAT FOR BEGINNERS
SKILLS COVERED: Vocabulary building- colours and common toys. Listening and speaking- responding to instructions and questions. Matching and recognition- associating colours with toys.
METHODOLOGIES: Interactive learning using games, flashcards. Visual learning by showing real toys and objects to reinforce colour recognition. Repetition and practice, reinforcing vocabulary through short activities and questions.
HOW TO TEACH:
STEP 1. WARM UP- Greeting, introduction to lesson- COLOURS AND TOYS.
STEP 2. MATCHING GAME- Students match colour cards to toys of same colours.
STEP 3. WORKSHEET- Explain instructions, encourage students to circle correct answers.
STEP 4. WRAP UP- Review worksheet, give feedback. Review vocabularyby asking students to name toys and their colours. Praise participation, Say Goodbye.
