Introduction of Student Reviews and Feedback

[Student A (Enrolled for 1.5 Years · Practical Conversation)]
I have been taking conversation lessons with Sori-sensei for about a year and a half. At first, I was so afraid of stumbling over my words that I would just read directly from a Japanese script I had prepared. However, Sensei immediately saw through this and pointed it out. Since then, I changed the way I prepare before each lesson, and now I can express what I want to say just by jotting down a few keywords.
I can talk with Sensei about a wide variety of topics. In his feedback, he points out unnatural expressions, suggests better phrases, and proposes the right direction for my speaking practice according to my current level. Sometimes, he also asks for my opinion on current events, saying, "What do you think about this?" I personally love these sudden topics because they bring the true realism and spontaneity of real conversation. If you are not prepared, you will end up struggling due to a lack of ability to organize your words and construct sentences on the spot, but as you repeat the sessions, you can feel an incredibly high learning effect.
When I actually met and spoke with my Japanese friends, I felt a noticeable improvement in my ability to respond instantly. The change achieved through consistent weekly practice gives me a truly great sense of accomplishment. I feel an improvement not only in speaking but also in listening, reading, and writing skills, so I highly recommend this lesson to anyone who wants to improve their Japanese proficiency!

[Student B (Working Holiday · Started from Level Assessment)]
Before coming to Japan on a working holiday, I lacked confidence in my speaking skills and found it inconvenient to attend a face-to-face school in Japan. Therefore, I decided to train my conversation skills on Cafetalk.
First, I took Sori-sensei's Level Assessment lesson. Within that very short time, Sensei gave me a wealth of precise and constructive feedback. That experience became the turning point that made me decide to keep polishing my conversation skills with him.
Not only are the learning materials incredibly abundant, but Sensei also guides the dialogue according to the theme chosen by the student. If you prepare before the lesson with both input (looking up vocabulary and grammar for the topic you want to discuss) and output (practicing pronunciation and sentence building), you will undoubtedly gain massive rewards.
There is no end to language learning, but I, who couldn't even speak for 3 minutes at first despite lots of preparation, was finally able to enjoy free talk for more than 5 minutes non-stop, gaining a huge sense of achievement. I am deeply grateful to Sensei for teaching me over the past year, and I highly recommend him to all friends who want to hone their speaking fluency.

I sincerely respect and appreciate Sori-sensei. In every conversation lesson, Sori-sensei always listens intently to what I want to express, corrects unnatural expressions immediately, and shares more natural Japanese ways of speaking.
For instance, regarding the use of conjunctions like "が (ga)," "しかし (shikashi)," and "でも (demo)," other instructors often ignore them as long as the meaning gets through. However, Sori-sensei always patiently teaches the subtle differences in nuance (tone of voice) of these seemingly small words and explains how incorrect usage can lead to misunderstandings. This meticulous guidance has been incredibly helpful beyond belief.
When work got busy or when I was about to give up after missing a few lessons, encouraging messages from Sori-sensei would arrive in my inbox. Sensei would discuss course adjustments with me and gently guide me back onto the learning track so that I could continue to make progress step by step.
Sori-sensei's lessons are highly diverse and customized to fit the student's goals, frequency, and duration. It is precisely because of Sensei's passion that I began to spend a lot of time self-studying (preparing) before each lesson, which has created a great learning rhythm. Language learning is a long journey, but I feel incredibly fortunate to have met a teacher who walks alongside me. I am deeply grateful for all his support so far!
