Learn WordPress from the Ground Up — With an Experienced WordPress Creator

Have you ever wanted to create your own website but felt that WordPress was too complicated? Perhaps you have watched online tutorials, opened the WordPress dashboard, and wondered, “Where do I begin?”

I offer beginner-friendly WordPress instruction for Japanese students who understand English at an intermediate or advanced level. My goal is to make WordPress practical, understandable, and enjoyable while helping students develop skills they can continue using independently.

As an experienced WordPress creator, I don't simply show you which buttons to click. I explain why things work, share practical tips and tricks, point out common mistakes, and introduce more advanced techniques as your confidence grows.

We will learn WordPress step by step, starting with the basics and gradually moving toward creating a professional-looking website.

Our 7-Step WordPress Learning Journey

  • 1. Understanding WordPress
    We begin by learning what WordPress is, how websites work, and the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. You will become familiar with the basic vocabulary and concepts before building anything.
  • 2. Exploring the WordPress Dashboard
    Next, we explore the dashboard together. You will learn how to navigate the menus, manage pages and posts, upload media, adjust settings, and understand where important tools are located.
  • 3. Building Your First Pages
    We create essential pages such as Home, About, Services, and Contact. You will learn how to organize information and create a website structure that makes sense to visitors.
  • 4. Learning Blocks, Layouts & Design
    We practice using WordPress blocks to create text, images, buttons, columns, headings, and other page elements. I will also explain spacing, alignment, typography, and basic design principles.
  • 5. Adding Your Own Content
    You will learn how to prepare and add your own photographs, written content, videos, links, and other media. We will also discuss how to make content clear and attractive for both Japanese and international visitors.
  • 6. Tips, Tricks & Common Mistakes
    This is where my experience becomes especially valuable. I will show you shortcuts, useful techniques, security considerations, maintenance practices, and mistakes beginners commonly make—and how to avoid them.
  • 7. Moving Toward Advanced WordPress
    Once you understand the fundamentals, we can explore more advanced topics such as SEO, plugins, website performance, responsive design, customization, analytics, and professional website development.

More Than Just a WordPress Class

My teaching approach combines hands-on practice, English communication, real website projects, and professional WordPress techniques. Instead of simply watching me build a website, you will participate in the process and gradually learn to make decisions for yourself.

For Japanese students, learning WordPress in English can also provide valuable exposure to the terminology used by international website developers, designers, marketers, and online businesses.

Whether your goal is to create a personal blog, promote a business, develop a portfolio, support an NPO, or simply understand how modern websites are created, I can help you take your first steps.
