A simple yet interesting debate lesson about thought-provoking topics where you can learn practical debate skills.

Lesson background:
- This lesson is great for intermediate to advanced level English learners. During the lesson, I will adjust my speaking style to ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout our discussion.
- This lesson involves a simple, straightforward debate about thought-provoking topics like: 'Is social media good or bad?' Debate topics are divided into 4 categories: General, Current Events & Global Issues, Fun & Lighthearted and Ethical & Social. You can choose your preferred category.
- Outcomes: This lesson has many opportunities for practicing English speaking as well as critical and creative thinking and learning new vocabulary phrases and precise grammar.
- During the lesson, I will support you in phrasing your arguments and rebuttals naturally in English and ask thought-provoking questions to support you in thinking deeply about the topic. I'll provide gentle language corrections in real time. Towards the end of the lesson, we'll partake in a friendly debate where we rebut each other's arguments.
- After the lesson, I will provide comprehensive feedback so that you can review the work, and optional homework with checks and additional feedback.
- This lesson can be taken 4 times in the 4-Lesson Simple Debate Pack. There are many different debate topics available, and we can steadily build on your debate skills each time.
