Using pinyin, you can sound out any chinese word!
Pinyin (拼音) is the official romanization system for Standard Mandarin, developed in the 1950s in China. It uses the Latin alphabet to represent Mandarin sounds which allows learners to read, type, and speak Chinese without needing to recognize thousands of characters right away.
Pinyin consists of consonants and vowels.
ピンイン（拼音）は、1950年代に中国で開発された標準中国語の公式ローマ字表記システムです。ラテンアルファベットを用いて中国語の音を表すため、学習者は数千もの文字をすぐに理解することなく、中国語を読み、入力し、話すことができます。 ピンインは子音と母音で構成されています。
声調（声调） 中国語は声調言語であり、声調によって意味が変わります。
4つの声調があります。
mā（高く安定）
má（上昇）
mǎ（下降上昇）
mà（下降）
さらに中立声調があります。

Tones (声调)
Mandarin is a tonal language, meaning that tone changes meaning. There are 4 tones:

mā (high and steady)

má (rising)

mǎ (falling-rising)

Plus a neutral tone: ma
