Project Invisible - The Secret Science Society

Fancy becoming a secret agent for science? 
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help an underground science society recruit its newest members!

In this creative design adventure, you’ll invent your own secret organisation, design a business card and discover how to write a message using invisible ink. Get ready to experiment with colours, typography and catchy slogans to create a design that looks ordinary at first glance but hides a secret invitation!

Once your design is complete, it’s time to reveal your hidden message and convince your tutor to join the society. Can your creativity, communication skills and scientific curiosity complete the mission?

Guide for parents/guardians - please read in full: 

Before we begin, gather your secret-agent supplies!

Design essentials:

1. White paper

2. A pencil and eraser

3. A black pen, fine liner or Sharpie

4. Coloured pencils, felt tips or markers

Secret science supplies

1. A small bowl containing lemon juice

2. A cotton bud or small paintbrush

3. A hairdryer with a low-heat setting

Optional extras: Feel free to use stickers, stamps or decorative paper

SAFETY NOTE:

We'll explore how lemon juice works as invisible ink. To reveal your hidden message, the paper needs to be warmed. Please ensure an adult supervises this part of the activity, keeping it at a safe distance from the paper.
