Hace 4 años mi familia y yo decidimos mudarnos de Ciudad de México para Lima Perú, fue una decisión muy difícil pues implicaba dejar atrás familia, amigos, trabajo y en general toda una vida. 

No sabíamos que esperar, estábamos emocionados, nerviosos pero muy entusiasmados por este cambio y nuevo reto que significaba esta nueva etapa.

Durante el primer año fue un periodo de adaptación, vivir el cambio de una cultura a otra es una prueba dura pues a pesar de que México y Perú están en el miso continente son países distintos y aunque comparten idioma, las jergas, las costumbres y la gente son muy diferentes.

Es aquí donde me identifico con compartir con las personas, el hecho de tener curiosidad sobre como viven las personas, que costumbres tienen en otros países y como se habla en otras partes del mundo es lo bonito de poder hacerlo y mostrarlo.

En las charlas que tengo disponibles justo hablamos de temas que nos muestran con es la vida en otras partes del mundo, además de que practicamos español y pasamos buen momento.

Four years ago, my family and I decided to move from Mexico City to Lima, Peru. It was a very difficult decision because it meant leaving behind our family, friends, jobs, and, in general, an entire life.

We didn’t know what to expect. We were excited, nervous, but also very enthusiastic about this change and the new challenge that this new chapter represented.

The first year was a period of adaptation. Experiencing the change from one culture to another can be challenging because, even though Mexico and Peru are on the same continent, they are different countries. And although we share the same language, slang, customs, and people can be very different.

This is where I find myself connecting with others. I’m curious about how people live, what customs they have in other countries, and how Spanish is spoken in different parts of the world. I think that’s one of the beautiful things about being able to share these experiences and learn from each other.

In my conversation classes, we talk about topics that give us a glimpse into what life is like in different parts of the world. At the same time, we practice Spanish and have a good time chatting.
