Tarot: A.I. versus Human

Jack Chan

Can AI read tarot accurately? Yes. Somewhat.

Is it better than a human? It depends on how deeply you would like a tarot reading.

When one starts to learn to read tarot cards, they can learn from various sources: a teacher, a book, a video. AI can do that and faster. So if you want an AI tarot reading, AI will comb the information that exists and compile it for you. It will be a basic reading of tarot cards based on the images, symbols, colors, and numbers.

A human reading for you will also rely on these sources of rote tarot learning - however, they are limited to their own experiences. AI will be able to cover more book knowledge than a human who only read 1 book about tarot. However, that human knows what it is to be a human. Presumably, they have been in love. They has been saddened by the loss of a loved one. They have applied to different jobs and been rejected. They have played a game and won. They have sacrificed and saved money to finally take that holiday trip.

In other words, a human has experienced what life actually is.  All of its ups and downs. This allows a tarot reader to empathize with the querent (the one asking a question) and connect the cards with this human experience.
AI is simply regurgitating information and data. It can simulate intelligence but it it not intelligent in the way a human has a spectrum of IQs. This is the key difference between an AI and a human reading tarot for you. If you treat a tarot reading lightly and feel fulfilled by a newspaper horoscope blurb, then AI tarot will be enough. If you seek something deeper, than you need to connect with a person.
