“Maybe” is fine — but these give you better control.
Soft “maybe”:
- Maybe.
- It depends.
More natural:
- Possibly.
- There’s a chance.
- I’m not sure yet.
Soft opinion:
- I’m leaning toward (A).
- I’d probably go with (A).
Mini practice (20 seconds):
Reply with a “soft” answer:
- “Will you join the event?”
- “Should we choose Plan A?”
