Origami and English!

Therese DB

You may be thinking, how does origami relate to learning English?

I retired recently and I am looking forward to work on my skills in origami. I was introduced to the art of origami at a Japan Day Festival. Practising a few times per week will help improve my skills. I can relate this mindset to learning a new language as well.

What I learned during this experience was that origami requires patience, precision and perseverance. It is the same when learning a new language like English.  important.

Patience is necessary. When you think you are not progressing, but with patience you will succeed.

Precision when doing origami is essential.  It is similar when you are learning English. You need to get into the habit of working and learning with precision.

Perseverance is important.  There will be times when you feel like giving up.  However, you need to focus on the end goal and persevere.

I am looking forward to seeing new students who want to try something new or improve on their current skills.
