The Little Prince – A Great Book for Conversation Practice

The best book I read this year was “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Even though it is a simple story, it opens up many meaningful topics to talk about, which makes it perfect for conversation practice with my students.

Why I Use This Book for Conversation Lessons
I enjoy using The Little Prince in my lessons because it encourages students to express their thoughts clearly. The story includes themes that are easy to discuss at any level:

•Childhood vs. adulthood
•Friendship
•Imagination
•What is truly important in life

These topics help students speak freely, practice expressing opinions, and build confidence in real conversations.

My Favourite Discussion Moment

One of the quotes that leads to great conversation is:
“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.”
Students love sharing what this sentence means to them, and it always creates a warm and thoughtful discussion.

Recommendation
If you want to improve your English through conversation, The Little Prince is a wonderful starting point. It is easy to read, full of meaning, and encourages open, natural conversation during lessons.
