New Business English lesson: Talking about your job and company

Vicky B

“What company do you work for?”

“What’s your job?”

If you meet someone in a business situation, these are often the first questions people ask you.

English is an international language, so if you go to an international conference or meeting, it’s important to make sure that you can talk about your job and explain what your company does, in a way that is easy-to-understand, and clearly highlights your company’s strong points.

For this reason I have created this new lesson:

Business English lesson: Talking about your job and company

In this lesson you will learn how to:
- Talk about your job in a way that English-speakers can understand
- Explain clearly what your company does
- Talk about your company’s strong points, including how you are better than your competitors!

This lesson is for anyone who does business internationally, whether it’s going on business trips, attending international conferences, or meeting foreign clients.

It's ideal for intermediate students, but can be adapted for lower-level and higher-level learners.

If you're interested in this lesson but unsure if it’s right for you, feel free to send me a message with your questions. Alternatively, you can ask questions face-to-face during a 20-minute counselling lesson (300 points).
