Recently, I watched an interesting video about the benefit of drawing for your brain. It seems that drawing activates several parts of the brain at the same time, helping have a positive influence on longevity and stress reduction!
I have always enjoyed drawing, despite not doing it often. I believe, however, that although I say to myself "I'm too busy, I'm tired, I need to buy better material to sketch with...." actually these are all simply excuses! If I put in some effort, I have time to sketch. For example while waiting for an appointment, on the bus, in a café, in the evening while watching TV. The drawing doesn't need to be a wonderful work of art, even just 15 minutes can be enough!
Recently I tried meeting up with a friend to draw. This worked out really well! We were able to chat and enjoy sipping tea at the same time as drawing, and the time passed in a flash. As someone who can sometimes feel awkward while talking, drawing helped me to relax. We were also able to inspire each other. It was a meaningful and fun way to connect with a friend!
It doesn't matter if you are "good" at drawing or not, I am definitely not an amazingly talented artist! It is simply fun to try, and re-awaken your creative side - something adults often lose touch with. Give it a go this autumn if you can! :D

It's so great to have a mate that you can do something interesting with and share the feelings in your mind. Since last year, I've also been going to a drawing class and it really helps me to relax my brain. I hope I can draw everywhere anytime.
