Casual Slang

Brian L

Hi! I'm Brian-sensei, and I help learners speak natural, everyday English.
Here are two useful phrases from my phrasebook, Speak Natural English: 50 Must-Know Phrases for Japanese Learners.

No worries.
⼤丈夫だよ/気にしないで。
謝られたときや「ありがとう」に対する軽い返事。

Example:
A: Sorry I’m late!
遅れてごめん!
B: No worries! I just got here too.
気にしないで!僕も今来たところ。

That’s fire.
それめっちゃいい!
かっこいい・最⾼という意味で使うスラング。

Example:
A: Check out this remix.
このリミックス聴いてみて。
B: Whoa, that’s fire!
うわ、これ最⾼!

Give these a try in your next message or conversation!
