いよいよJLPT（日本語能力試験）の本番が近づいてきましたね！受験される皆さん、ここまで本当によくがんばってきました。私も教室やオンラインレッスンで、多くの学習者の皆さんと一緒に、この試験に向けて準備をしてきました。

今日は、直前のこの時期に意識しておきたいことを、いくつかお伝えしたいと思います。

1. 新しいことを詰め込まない

試験直前は不安になって、つい「もっと単語を覚えなきゃ」「文法を復習しなきゃ」と焦ってしまいがちです。でも今は、これまでやってきたことを信じて、自信を持つことが一番大事です。新しい知識を入れるよりも、これまでのノートを見直して、「自分ができること」を再確認しましょう。

2. 試験形式に慣れておこう

JLPTは「問題の形式」がとても特徴的です。時間配分も重要ですので、過去問や模擬試験を使って、本番と同じように解く練習をしておきましょう。「何分でどこまで進むか」の感覚をつかむだけで、安心して試験に臨むことができます。

３. 当日の準備を忘れずに！

・受験票

・筆記用具（HBまたはBの鉛筆・消しゴム）

・腕時計（試験会場によっては時計がない場合もあります）

・軽食や水（会場によっては休憩時間があります）

・身分証明書

余裕を持って、出発前に持ち物チェックをしましょう！

最後に：あきらめない心が合格につながる

JLPTは、点数で合否が決まる試験です。ひとつのセクションで失敗しても、ほかの部分でカバーできるかもしれません。最後まであきらめずに、一問ずつ丁寧に取り組んでください。

皆さんの努力は、きっと結果につながります。教室でのがんばりも、家での勉強も、すべてが力になっていますよ。

Hello! I'm YUZU, a Japanese language teacher.

The JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) is just around the corner!
To all of you taking the test — you've worked so hard to get here.
I've been preparing together with many of my students, both in the classroom and online, and I truly admire your dedication.

Today, I’d like to share a few important reminders as we enter the final stretch before test day.

1. Don’t try to cram new information

As the test day gets closer, it's easy to feel anxious and think,
“I need to memorize more vocabulary!” or “I should review more grammar!”
But now is the time to trust what you’ve already learned and believe in yourself.
Rather than learning something completely new, go over your notes and review what you already know.

2. Get familiar with the test format

The JLPT has a very specific test format.
Time management is key, so try practicing with past exams or mock tests under real-time conditions.
Getting a feel for how much time you should spend on each section can help you stay calm and focused during the test.

3. Don’t forget your test day essentials!

Here’s a quick checklist for the big day:

• ✅ Test voucher (exam admission slip)

• ✅ Pencils (HB or B) and erasers

• ✅ A wristwatch (some test sites may not have clocks)

• ✅ Snacks and water (if your site allows breaks)

• ✅ Photo ID

Make sure to double-check everything and leave home early so you arrive with plenty of time to spare.

Lastly: A strong heart leads to success

The JLPT is scored by section, so even if one part doesn’t go as planned,
you can still pass by doing well on the others.
Take your time and focus on each question — don’t give up until the very end!

Your hard work will pay off.
All those hours of studying at home and in class are your strength now.
