I'm in a Commercial (CM)!

Dear Cafetalk Friends,

Here it is—the commercial I mentioned in my last post!

As many of you know, landing an acting role can be incredibly difficult. It often involves countless auditions and rejections before a single opportunity comes along. So I was absolutely thrilled to be cast in this commercial!

It’s for the Regina Public Library, our city’s library system. I truly love the message it shares about inclusivity. The library is a welcoming place for everyone, offering something for people of all ages and backgrounds. I think the commercial beautifully highlights the library as a space of diversity and community.

It was a pleasure working with the entire cast, and I appreciated that everyone seemed to have equal airtime!

As I mentioned in my profile, I earned a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University in California. That’s why it felt like such a meaningful and delightful coincidence to be chosen for a commercial promoting a library!

前回の投稿でお知らせしたCMが、ついに完成しました！

ご存じの方も多いと思いますが、俳優の仕事を得るのはとても大変です。多くのオーディションや不合格を乗り越えて、やっと1つの役が決まります。だから、このCMの出演が決まったときは本当にうれしかったです！

このCMは、私の住んでいる町の図書館「レジャイナ公共図書館（Regina Public Library）」のものです。誰でも歓迎される、という「多様性と包容性（インクルーシブ）」のメッセージがとても素敵だと思いました。年齢や背景に関係なく、誰でも利用できる場所として、図書館の魅力が美しく表現されています。

共演者のみなさんとも楽しく撮影できて、全員が同じくらい映っていたのもよかったです！

プロフィールにも書いてありますが、私はアメリカ・カリフォルニア州のサンノゼ州立大学で図書館情報学の修士号を取得しました。だからこそ、図書館のCMに出演することになったのは、とても嬉しい偶然でした！
